Criteria:

  2. Inclusive of all causes of death
  3. Irrespective of how long ago or how recent the death occurred
  4. Inclusive of all faiths, genders, sexual preference, culture or ethnicity
  5. Couples / parents singles are all welcome
  6. Support groups meet once a week for nine weeks (9 sessions)
  7. Always only on a Thursday at 19:00 until 21:00
  8. Support groups function on the principle of “Closed Groups” meaning that only those who begin in session one, are permitted to complete the series.
  9. No new members will be added to that series.
  10. Those who wish to drop-out, may do so with valid reason to break the commitment to the group, but remain financially responsible for the entire series.
  11. Investment for the 9 week series per person @ R75.00 per session (R675) for the entire series.
  12. Groups size, will be guided by the demand, but groups are usually a minimum of 8 members, but no larger than 10 members.
  13. Group meetings will consist of three components namely: Social (refreshments), Educational (teaching) and Therapeutic (various therapeutic exercises and methods).
  14. Though these are support groups, the principle of "one for all and all for one" applies and ensures that each group participant enjoys equal opportunity and time.
  15. An added advantage is that others might be dealing with precisely the same issues as others are at that time, gaining input from both the facilitator and the group.
